This came during a workshop organized by the Ministry of Education under the title “OECD Experiences in School Evaluation and Improvement,” as part of the cooperation agreement signed with the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). The workshop aimed to familiarize participants with international best practices in school evaluation and to enhance mechanisms for improving school performance and educational outcomes.

The Ministry emphasized the importance of the participation of educational leaders, school principals, and professionals in the educational field in such specialized workshops, as they represent an opportunity to exchange experiences, learn about global practices, and strengthen a culture of continuous development and improvement. The Ministry clarified that the workshop covered several specialized topics highlighting the international experiences of OECD member countries in education development. The first topic focused on standards and mechanisms for school evaluation, featuring an international presentation on the frameworks and criteria adopted by OECD countries to assess educational institutions, along with an overview of several international experiences in this field.

The Ministry added that the workshop also addressed the topic of supporting school improvement, through an international presentation outlining the key practices and approaches followed by OECD countries to support schools, enhance their performance, strengthen their capacity to address educational challenges, and achieve continuous improvement in the school environment.

It was further explained that the third topic dealt with school leadership, featuring an international presentation on models of school leadership in OECD countries and their role in developing institutional performance, enhancing the efficiency of educational work, and improving the quality of school management.
