Dr. Syed Issa, Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Financial and Administrative Affairs and Cooperation Affairs and Director of the General Administration of Planning and Administrative Development at the Ministry of Social Affairs, announced that the Committee for Kuwaitization of Supervisory Positions in Cooperative Societies, chaired by Acting Undersecretary of the Ministry Faisal Al-Kandari, has decided to open registration for the fourth phase to Kuwaitis interested in working in the cooperative sector in early December. Applications will be submitted through the “Fakhrana for National Workforce” platform, operated by the Public Authority for Manpower.
Issa told “Al-Jarida” that the total number of job opportunities available to citizens with university degrees and professional experience during this phase amounts to 30 positions, distributed among general managers and their deputies in charge of financial, administrative, commercial, and marketing affairs, as well as department heads, who will hold the largest share of these roles. These positions are spread across several cooperative societies in various areas, the names of which will be announced later, reflecting the Ministry’s commitment to the strategic localization of leadership and supervisory posts and enhancing the presence of national talents in decision-making positions within the cooperatives.
He added that applicants, after their requests are processed by the Manpower Authority and their compliance with application criteria, requirements, and all required documents is verified, will undergo specialized electronic tests conducted in collaboration with a private university. This step serves as a fundamental stage preceding personal interviews. He noted that this mechanism has proven successful in the previous three phases, as it provided accurate and fair evaluation standards that contributed to selecting the most competent and deserving national candidates.
Issa emphasized that the Ministry is continuing to implement a comprehensive plan to localize supervisory positions within the cooperative sector, based on modern professional standards that rely on digital transformation and administrative governance. This approach aims to consolidate principles of transparency, integrity, fairness, and equal opportunity in selection and appointment procedures.
He pointed out that the Kuwaitization Committee at the Ministry, in cooperation with the Authority and under the direct guidance and close follow-up of Minister Dr. Amal Al-Huwaili, is keen to ensure the integrity of application, review, and electronic evaluation procedures. He confirmed that the Ministry operates within an integrated system aimed at strengthening the presence of national cadres in the cooperative sector and raising its administrative efficiency, in line with the state’s directions for administrative reform and job localization.
