The Kuwait Stock Exchange reversed its trend during today’s trading session, recording broad-based gains in market indices after two consecutive days of declines, amid a resurgence of buying activity across a wide range of stocks, particularly those that had fallen in previous sessions.

The rebound followed yesterday’s session, which saw continued selling pressure and a 0.47% drop in the general market index, despite liquidity rising to around 79 million dinars. Today’s trading, however, showed a clear improvement in the price behavior of indices and stocks.

The main market delivered the strongest performance, with its index rising by 111.73 points, or 1.35%, to 8,412.35 points. Meanwhile, the “Main 50” index jumped 1.68%, adding 154.15 points to reach 9,337.67 points.

The session saw the trading of approximately 278.4 million shares, with a total value of 66.4 million dinars, executed through 16,150 transactions. This represented a decline in liquidity of about 16% compared to the 79 million dinars recorded in yesterday’s session, indicating that the price gains were not accompanied by a corresponding increase in trading volume.

“Makhazen” led the list of most actively traded stocks by value, with around 7.38 million dinars, followed by “Kuwait Finance House” at 7.29 million dinars, “National Bank of Kuwait” at 7.07 million dinars, “Watania” at 6.49 million dinars, and “Burqan” at 2.87 million dinars.
