Al-Wahib: The Importance of Proactivity in Service Delivery, Institutional Performance Development, and Elevating the Security System

Today, Major General Abdulwahab Al-Wahayb, Deputy Minister of Interior and Chairman of the Committee for Preparing and Drafting the Strategic Plan, participated in the strategic leadership meeting organized by the Committee for Preparing the Ministry of Interior’s 2030 Strategic Plan, “Shield of the Nation,” with the participation of the General Directors of the Ministry of Interior. The meeting was held at the auditorium of the General Administration of Information Systems, as part of the efforts to complete the planning stages and enhance the involvement of security leadership in shaping the strategy’s directions and future objectives.

This meeting follows the data collection and situational assessment phase, which constitutes a fundamental stage in developing the strategic plan. It aims to evaluate the current state of security and administrative operations, identify key challenges, needs, and opportunities for development, and leverage the expertise of senior leaders in formulating the Ministry’s strategic directions and objectives.

Major General Al-Wahayb commended the efforts of the General Directors and their dedication and sincerity in fulfilling their responsibilities. He emphasized their pivotal role in preparing the strategy, as they are essential partners in its formulation, given their practical experience and direct knowledge of operations across various sectors of the Ministry. He stressed the necessity of coordinated efforts and teamwork to achieve a realistic and ambitious strategy that responds to security needs, keeps pace with future changes and challenges, and contributes to the development of the security system.

He affirmed that proactively providing services to citizens and residents, improving institutional performance, and enhancing the efficiency of the security system are among the Ministry of Interior’s priorities. He underscored the importance of adopting developmental approaches that strengthen the Ministry’s readiness and its ability to achieve its goals efficiently and effectively, while elevating the quality of services provided.

The organization of this meeting aligns with the Committee for Preparing and Drafting the Strategic Plan’s commitment to broadening leadership participation, enhancing cooperation, coordination, and synergy among the Ministry’s sectors, and ultimately achieving a comprehensive institutional strategy that reflects the Ministry of Interior’s aspirations and future directions, under the slogan “Shield of the Nation… A Vision Created by All.”
