Jazeera Airways welcomed the first cohort of graduates enrolled in the “Irtiqa” program for managerial talent development, marking a significant milestone that embodies the company’s commitment to nurturing national talent and preparing the next generation of leaders in the aviation sector.
The inaugural cohort kicked off their journey with a comprehensive orientation program, which included an interactive session with Jazeera Airways’ leadership team. This session provided participants with the opportunity to engage directly with company executives, gain close insight into the company’s vision, values, and strategic priorities, and understand the crucial role they will play in shaping the future of Jazeera Airways.
The company launched the “Irtiqa” program in August 2026. It is a structured managerial talent development initiative aimed at attracting promising young Kuwaiti graduates, enhancing their capabilities, and accelerating their professional growth. The program supports Jazeera Airways’ long-term growth ambitions and contributes to achieving the objectives of Kuwait Vision 2035 by investing in national human capital.
Parathan Pasupathy, Chief Executive Officer of Jazeera Airways, said: “We are proud to welcome the first cohort of trainees in the ‘Irtiqa’ program into the Jazeera Airways family. These young graduates embody the aspirations, energy, and potential of Kuwait’s next generation, and we are delighted to be part of their professional journey. As the company enters a new and critical phase of growth, investing in our people is no less important than investing in new aircraft, destinations, and infrastructure. The ‘Irtiqa’ program aims to provide opportunities for young Kuwaitis to learn, participate, and develop their skills to become future leaders who will help shape the future of the aviation sector. I look forward to seeing this first cohort grow with us and leave their mark on the future of Jazeera Airways.”
Spanning 18 months, “Irtiqa” offers participants a holistic development experience that includes gaining multi-disciplinary practical experience, hands-on assignments, mentoring, and career guidance from leaders with extensive expertise, as well as participation in strategic business projects. Trainees will also acquire practical experience across various aspects of airline operations and management, thereby building the technical knowledge, commercial understanding, and leadership capabilities necessary for success in the dynamic aviation industry.
On her part, Jenny Sethi, Head of Human Resources at Jazeera Airways, stated: “We believe that investing in our people today is the foundation for building a stronger future. The launch of the first cohort of the ‘Irtiqa’ program represents a significant step in our commitment to developing Kuwaiti talent and preparing the next generation of aviation leaders. As the company continues to grow, building a strong base of national competencies will be essential to our long-term success. Through ‘Irtiqa,’ we aim to inspire young Kuwaitis to discover their potential, build confidence and capabilities that qualify them for leadership roles, and grow alongside Jazeera Airways. This program is not merely an investment in the participants’ career paths, but an investment in the future of the company and the aviation sector in Kuwait.”
