Real Madrid Faces Racing

Real Madrid seek to extend their winning streak as they face Racing Santander today in the 11th round of the Spanish La Liga. The royal club enters the match in high spirits after securing five consecutive victories, highlighted by their win over Barcelona, where Kylian Mbappé shone by scoring both of his team’s goals, reaffirming his crucial role in Real Madrid’s attacking system.

Madrid rely on their offensive strength and ability to exploit space against a thirteenth-placed opponent that arrives at the fixture following a thrilling 2-1 comeback victory over Espanyol, overturning a deficit to win in front of their home supporters.

Portuguese manager Jose Mourinho hopes his players will maintain focus, staying clear of the controversial atmosphere that has surrounded the club in recent days following Mbappé’s comments about former Chinese leader Mao Zedong, which sparked reactions in China before both the player and the club issued formal apologies.

The “Blues” player later apologized, as did his club and the Spanish La Liga, while China stated it is taking the apology “seriously,” after a wave of outrage led to the suspension of La Liga matches and the cancellation of Chinese sponsorship deals with Mbappé.

Alejandro Grimaldo and Argentine Juliano Simeone scored Valencia’s goals, securing Atletico’s seventh consecutive league victory and continuing their strong form, thereby increasing pressure on the title holders.
