Today, Thursday, Dr. Amthal Al-Huwailan, Minister of Social Affairs, Family, and Childhood Affairs, held talks with the president and board members of the Kuwait Association for the Blind on ways to develop services provided to persons with visual disabilities and to enhance their empowerment in educational, professional, and social fields.
In a press statement, Al-Huwailan emphasized her commitment to supporting the association’s efforts and enabling it to fulfill its humanitarian and social mission, stressing the importance of strengthening partnerships with civil society organizations and overcoming challenges faced by persons with visual disabilities, thereby contributing to their integration.
She clarified that supporting and empowering persons with disabilities is a firm priority, and she pledged not to spare any effort in reviewing proposed initiatives and following them up with relevant authorities to achieve practical solutions that contribute to service development and meet the needs of blind individuals.
