Bursali: Comprehensive Sports Programs for Individuals with Intellectual Disabilities

This came on the sidelines of the Al-Tamuh Club – the official representative of Special Olympics – organizing a sports activity program for young athletes at The Avenues Kuwait mall, with the participation of approximately 80 children with disabilities and their non-disabled peers, along with several schools and rehabilitation centers.

Boursali told KUNA that the program, which targeted children aged 4 to 8, serves as the foundation for preparing a new generation to join Special Olympics competitions. It combines sports, educational, and interactive activities to develop motor and cognitive skills, and to enhance communication and interaction in an encouraging environment that respects individual differences.
