In line with its steadfast commitment to social responsibility and its leading role in supporting health and community initiatives, Kuwait Finance House launched a series of awareness initiatives and events during October, coinciding with Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The goal was to raise awareness about the importance of prevention and early detection, and to promote healthy lifestyles that help reduce the risk of the disease.
The campaign included a range of initiatives and events targeting bank employees and community members, underscoring the bank’s ongoing dedication to supporting efforts aimed at spreading health knowledge and fostering a culture of prevention.
True to its annual tradition of supporting this global cause, Kuwait Finance House illuminated its main building in pink throughout October, sending a message of solidarity with breast cancer survivors and patients, and calling for the reinforcement of the importance of early detection as one of the most effective means of improving treatment outcomes and recovery chances.
Regarding internal activities, the bank distributed pink pins on the 18th floor of the main building to encourage participation in the campaign and enhance awareness messages among employees, thereby reinforcing a culture of health and prevention within the workplace.
To encourage female employees to adopt a healthy and balanced lifestyle, the bank offered free Pilates sessions in collaboration with Inspire Sports Club, driven by its belief in the importance of physical activity and its role in enhancing physical and mental health and preventing various diseases.
The bank’s awareness efforts extended to the community through its partnership with 360 Food Hall throughout October in support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. The campaign featured a strong visual presence by highlighting Kuwait Finance House’s logo and awareness messages throughout the restaurant, helping to broaden reach and enhance public awareness of the disease.
This collaboration also included two open-to-the-public events on October 11 and 12, featuring Pilates classes and flower arrangement workshops. These interactive sessions aimed to raise health awareness and encourage participants to adopt healthy lifestyle practices, while highlighting the importance of early breast cancer detection.
Commenting on the initiative, Dana Fares, Senior Manager – Public Relations and Events at Kuwait Finance House, said: “These initiatives embody our ongoing commitment to supporting efforts to raise awareness about the importance of prevention and early detection of breast cancer. Guided by our belief that knowledge and awareness form the first line of defense against the disease, we seek through this campaign to encourage community members to adopt healthy lifestyles and undergo regular check-ups, thereby enhancing the chances of early detection and improving treatment outcomes, while reinforcing a culture of health and well-being in society.”
Fares added: “At Kuwait Finance House, we strive to extend our community initiatives beyond spreading awareness messages by providing interactive platforms and activities that encourage community members to participate, engage, and adopt positive health practices. Our partnerships with health and sports institutions and various supporting organizations reflect our conviction in the importance of collaborative efforts to enhance health awareness and solidify a culture of health care among all segments of society.”
This campaign is part of NBK’s distinguished record of purposeful social and health initiatives, which include numerous awareness programs and campaigns aimed at promoting community health and reinforcing the principles of prevention and early detection, in line with the bank’s vision to support quality of life and contribute to building a healthier and more aware society.
