Princess Timaswati Dlamini of the Kingdom of Eswatini affirmed that empowering women and enhancing their presence in leadership positions begins with building self-confidence and encouraging women to engage in various fields and participate in decision-making. She stressed the importance of motivating Kuwaiti women to continue advancing and assuming more leadership roles, thereby strengthening their role in national development and nation-building.

In a press statement during her visit to Kuwait, Princess Timaswati expressed her pride in the ties between the two countries and her anticipation of expanding the horizons of cultural, economic, and commercial cooperation, as well as opening broader avenues for communication and knowledge exchange between women in Eswatini and Kuwait.

She emphasized that Kuwait holds a special place in her heart, describing it as her “second home.” She first came to Kuwait at the age of nineteen and lived there until she turned thirty, before returning today accompanied by her husband and children on a visit that allows her to revisit important milestones, memories, and friendships she still cherishes.

She added that her years of residence in Kuwait contributed to strengthening her bond with Kuwaiti society, expressing confidence that relations between the two countries will witness further development, and that direct interaction between the peoples will open new horizons for cooperation and experience-sharing in various fields.

Speaking about the empowerment of Kuwaiti women, Princess Timaswati stressed the importance of self-confidence and attention to personal presence and the image a woman projects to society, explaining that first impressions are often formed based on appearance and presence, before others have the opportunity to get to know a woman’s ideas, potential, and capabilities.

She underscored the necessity for women to continue their journey steadily, working to develop their skills and broaden their ambitions, while encouraging more Kuwaiti women to assume leadership positions and participate in decision-making. She noted that enhancing women’s presence in positions of responsibility provides them with greater opportunities to contribute to societal development.

Regarding the prospects of cooperation between Kuwait and Eswatini, the Princess expressed her hope to launch joint projects and initiatives that contribute to strengthening bilateral relations, affirming her country’s openness to the Kuwaiti society and its readiness to exchange expertise and experiences, particularly in the fields of culture, business, trade, and women’s empowerment.

She expressed her hope that her visit, which lasts approximately ten days, will help strengthen communication with Kuwaiti society, build new bridges for cultural and economic cooperation, and expand opportunities for meetings and knowledge exchange with Kuwaiti women, especially female leaders.

As part of efforts to enhance cultural ties between the two countries, the International Women’s Group in Kuwait, in collaboration with the Embassy of the Kingdom of Eswatini, organized a cultural evening celebrating the Kingdom’s heritage and traditions.

The Eswatini Cultural Troupe enlivened the evening with musical performances and traditional dances that reflected the richness of local heritage. They also performed a song specially prepared for the occasion to celebrate the friendship between Eswatini and Kuwait, amidst enthusiastic audience participation, with attendees waving the Kingdom’s flags and taking photos and videos.
