The Public Authority for Industry announced the cancellation of certain industrial projects and the revocation of two plots, one in Shuwaikh West and the other in the Salwa industrial area.
The Authority noted that it would not recognize any changes made to those plots as of the date of the Board of Directors’ decision. The approval was based on a decision by the Authority’s Board of Directors at its meeting held on September 13 last year, which canceled the industrial licenses for two companies, with plot areas of 10,000 square meters and 1,000 square meters, respectively.
On another note, the Authority announced that holders of industrial craft licenses must visit the Authority within a maximum period of two weeks, in preparation for amending the status of these licenses. After this period expires, the Authority will exercise the powers granted to it under Law No. 56 of 1996 and its amendments, as well as its executive regulations.
It is worth noting that last month, Ministerial Decision No. 23 of 2026 was issued, delegating the Board of Directors of the Public Authority for Industry to impose administrative penalties, including the termination of contracts and the revocation of service, craft, and commercial plots under the Authority’s supervision.
