He revealed that the military operation in the neighborhood from which the perpetrators of the Hebron attack had launched has begun, confirming that it will continue for several days.
He added that residents in the operational area will be able to leave through three checkpoints after undergoing security screening and interrogation, noting that the operation aims to sweep the designated area and uncover weapons and infrastructure he described as “terrorist.”
He stated that the operation carried out in Hebron is being conducted with the participation of the Shin Bet intelligence agency and border guard forces, and aims to reshape the security situation in the area, anticipating clashes with dozens of “hotspots” across the West Bank.
