The Yemeni News Agency (Saba) reported that these remarks were made during a meeting between Minister Al-Zoba and the Kuwaiti Ambassador to Yemen, Falah Al-Mutairi, to discuss the latest developments in Yemen and the region, as well as ways to strengthen bilateral relations and coordination between the two countries.
The agency quoted Al-Zoba as emphasizing the importance of enhancing coordination between the two countries to facilitate the delivery of aid and expand cooperation in the fields of capacity building and institutional rehabilitation.
She highlighted the recent escalation by the Houthi militias, describing it as a threat to Yemen’s security, regional stability, and the safety of international navigation in the Red Sea and the Bab al-Mandab Strait. She stressed the need to unify regional and international efforts to confront these threats and support the Yemeni government’s initiatives to restore state institutions and achieve stability.
She also pointed out the violations committed by the Houthi militias against civilians, including the recruitment and exploitation of children, attempts to alter educational curricula, and efforts to erase national identity, noting that these practices pose serious risks to Yemeni generations and the country’s future.
For his part, Ambassador Al-Mutairi reaffirmed Kuwait’s continued support for Yemen and the importance of coordination between the two countries to address current challenges, reiterating Kuwait’s commitment to continuing its support for the Yemeni people and strengthening the fraternal relations between the two nations.
