Harry Kane dreams of the Ballon d'Or

Harry Kane, the star striker of German club Bayern Munich, delivered a strong performance against Arsenal yesterday in the UEFA Champions League, earning him the man of the match award and further solidifying his status as a leading contender for the prestigious Ballon d’Or, to be awarded next Monday.

The award ceremony’s location in London, the city where the England captain was born and spent many years playing for Tottenham, will make the occasion even more special for him.

Speaking to TNT Sports, Kane expressed his hope of winning the award, saying, “It would be a great honor,” and adding that he is looking forward to “a big night that could be exceptional for me.”

He continued, “I’ve said before that I don’t like talking about myself, but I realize that winning the award, if it happens, would be a tremendous achievement.”

Kane has already built a strong case for the honor, having scored 73 goals for his club and national team, won the Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal double with Bayern Munich, topped the league’s scoring charts for the third consecutive season, and helped England finish third at the World Cup.
