On another note, the Student Affairs Office at PAAET, in collaboration with the Nursing College, organized a health awareness campaign titled “Turn It Off and Start Healthy,” under the slogan “Today’s Awareness... Better Health Tomorrow.” The campaign took place at the Nursing College and involved participation from several doctors from the Dental Medicine Department of the Capital Health Region, as part of efforts to reinforce the culture of quitting smoking.
Dr. Laila Al-Shatti, Dean of the Nursing College, emphasized that the campaign aims to highlight the phenomenon of smoking and its negative effects, particularly among young people and teenagers. She stressed the importance of informing students about modern products that have recently become prevalent and raising awareness of their risks and impact on human health.
