Al-Qadsieh’s first football team will conclude its training tomorrow in preparation for Tuesday’s match against Tajikistan’s Regar-TadAZ, the second game of Group 3 in the AFC Challenge League, which will be held at the Mohammed Al-Hamad Stadium.

Al-Qadsieh topped the group with three points after a 3-0 victory over Bangladesh’s Fortis in the opening round, with goals scored by Hamza Khaba from a penalty kick, Ayoub Lakhdar, and Abdullah Al-Mutawa, giving them a goal difference advantage over Regar-TadAZ.

The Yellow team resumed training yesterday at Abdullah Al-Khalifa Stadium, with all players participating without rest due to the tight schedule.

Al-Qadsieh coach Mohamed Ibrahim expressed satisfaction with the players’ performance against Fortis, despite the difficulty of the match due to weather conditions, while voicing confidence in both the starting lineup and substitutes to influence the course of games.

Ibrahim noted that Ayoub Lakhdar missed the last two training sessions due to a health issue, while praising the outstanding performances of Khaled Ibrahim, Cedric, and Muath Al-Dhafiri. He also confirmed that the club’s secrecy regarding its transfers will yield positive results.

Meanwhile, Al-Arabi coach Mohamed Abdulnabi held a meeting with his players before yesterday’s training session, reiterating his absolute confidence in them and their ability to overcome the loss to Syria’s Homs Al-Fida in the opening round.

Abdulnabi emphasized the importance of tomorrow’s match against Tajikistan’s Esteghlal in the second round, amid doubts over whether Khaled Al-Murshid will recover after being substituted in the game against Al-Fida, with Hamad Al-Harbi expected to replace him.

Abdulnabi accepted responsibility for the defeat and apologized to fans, stressing that the challenge lies in managing time, and that he is working to overcome it through physical and psychological preparation. He affirmed that the chance of reaching the quarter-finals remains alive, dismissing talk of an early exit for Al-Arabi as premature.
