Boubyan Bank concluded its participation in the fifth edition of the “Wazifati 2026” exhibition, Kuwait’s largest job fair, held under the patronage and attendance of the Minister of State for Youth and Sports Affairs, Dr. Tariq Al-Jalahma, from the 15th to the 17th of this month at The Arena. The event saw wide participation from private sector companies, universities, and institutions in Kuwait.

This year, the bank’s participation featured a new development in the recruitment experience, allowing applicants to submit their resumes alongside conducting immediate preliminary interviews using artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. This marks the first time such an approach has been implemented in Kuwait for talent acquisition, aligning with Boubyan’s broader institutional strategy to integrate modern technologies into the work environment and enhance its operations.

Boubyan’s continued sponsorship and strategic partnership with the exhibition reflect its commitment to direct engagement with young national talents, introducing them to career opportunities and professional pathways in the banking sector. This comes amid rapid transformations in the labor market and evolving skill requirements for institutions. The exhibition also enables young people to closely explore private sector work environments and their demands, while providing institutions with access to national talents possessing diverse specializations, skills, and aspirations.

Minister Al-Jalahma visited the bank’s booth, where he reviewed Boubyan’s latest advancements in AI-driven recruitment and its role in enhancing the hiring experience and attracting young talent through the use of AI-powered voice technology for applications and immediate job interviews. He was accompanied by Abdullah Al-Majhem, Vice President of Private and Personal Banking Services, and Bashar Al-Doub, General Manager of Bank Branches.

Commenting on the occasion, Khalid Al-Rahmani, Assistant General Manager of the Human Resources Group at Boubyan, said: “We continuously strive to strengthen our presence at events targeting graduates and young national talents, introducing them to the opportunities available to them. We believe that investing in their capabilities is a fundamental aspect of our corporate social responsibility and our commitment to supporting them in building their professional futures.”

He added that keeping pace with transformations in the banking sector requires attracting diverse talents with varied specializations, experiences, and capabilities, who are ready to learn and grow. This ecosystem includes skills related to modern technologies and AI, alongside professional expertise and abilities that contribute to business development and enhanced performance efficiency.

Al-Rahmani noted that the recruitment experience offered during “Wazifati” this year allows applicants to submit their resumes and conduct immediate preliminary interviews using AI voice technology, within a seamless and fast digital journey. He emphasized that offering this experience at the exhibition gives visitors the opportunity to closely observe the modern recruitment methods being developed by the bank.

He pointed out that Boubyan’s participation in “Wazifati” enables its talent acquisition team to engage directly with young talents, understand their specializations, skills, and aspirations, and introduce them to the career opportunities and professional pathways available within the bank.

Al-Rahmani concluded by reaffirming the bank’s commitment to keeping pace with developments in recruitment, attracting diverse talents, and building a foundation of promising capabilities, while simultaneously empowering its teams and developing their capacities to keep up with modern technologies and leverage them to enhance the work environment.

For his part, Fawaz Al-Ajeel, Talent Acquisition Specialist at the bank, said that the shift toward an AI-powered banking institution is based on the integration of technology, empowerment of human resources and processes, and linking technological solutions to clear opportunities for business development. From this perspective, Boubyan is keen to deploy modern technologies within an institutional environment that supports their effective and responsible use, while giving employees a key role in business development and leveraging their potential.

He added that the bank’s participation in the exhibition this year offers an experience that enables candidates interested in joining Boubyan to submit their resumes in about 90 seconds by scanning a QR code, followed by an immediate preliminary job interview conducted using voice-based artificial intelligence technology. This experience facilitates the application process and saves time by combining application and interview steps into a simpler and faster journey.

He clarified that conducting immediate interviews using voice-based AI is being implemented for the first time in Kuwait, reflecting Boubyan’s direction to expand the use of AI across various business areas, including talent acquisition and communication with job applicants.

Al-Ajeel emphasized that this experience goes beyond streamlining recruitment procedures, as it reflects the bank’s vision of building a professional relationship that begins at the talent acquisition stage and extends into integrated pathways that help young professionals gain experience, develop their skills, and advance in their careers.
