'Health' Adds 'Justice' to Entities Reporting Patient Cases

The Official Gazette, “Kuwait Today,” published Ministry of Health Decision No. 347 of 2026, whose Article One stipulates that Item No. 7 be added to Article Three of Ministerial Decision No. 339 of 2026 concerning the regulation of procedures for reporting patient cases and the coordination mechanism with competent authorities.
The new item specifies the Ministry of Justice in cases requiring judicial or legal measures, or related to notifications and judicial announcements, or establishing the status of patients admitted to treatment institutions pursuant to court orders, as well as coordinating on forensic medical reports, and also cases referred to the Ministry’s judicial corps positions. The decision takes effect from its issuance date of October 15, 2026.
