As part of ongoing efforts to enhance traffic discipline and ensure the safety of road users, the General Directorate of Traffic at the Ministry of the Interior conducted comprehensive field traffic campaigns on all major and expressways across the State of Kuwait.
The campaigns targeted enforcement against violators of traffic rules and regulations, and monitored incorrect traffic behaviors that pose a risk to road safety. Violations ranged from exceeding the prescribed speed limits, driving in emergency lanes, and failing to comply with overtaking rules and conditions, among other traffic offenses.
The campaigns resulted in the recording of 320 diverse traffic violations and the impoundment of 77 violating vehicles at the impound lot, with necessary legal measures taken against the offenders.
The Traffic Affairs and Operations Sector reaffirmed the continuation of intensive traffic campaigns on various roads throughout the State of Kuwait, aiming to curb violations and dangerous behaviors, and to reinforce compliance with traffic rules and regulations, in order to safeguard lives and property.
