Under the patronage and attendance of Minister of State for Youth and Sports Dr. Tariq Al-Jalahma, the fifth edition of the “My Job” exhibition kicked off today and will run until the 17th of the current month at the Arena Hall in the 360 Complex. It stands as Kuwait’s largest employment platform, featuring more than 120 entities from both the public and private sectors.

In his speech during the exhibition’s launch, Al-Jalahma emphasized that the event extends the effort to consolidate the concept of supporting youth in employment and training, as part of the Kuwait Youth and Sports Season. He stressed the importance of providing spaces for employment and training for recent graduates and creating new opportunities for them, thereby contributing to increased productive work and building better professional futures.

Al-Jalahma noted that the exhibition brings together the public and private sectors under one roof to open new and diverse horizons for Kuwaiti youth by guiding them properly toward successful career paths and creating new employment channels, describing them as the leaders of the nation’s future. He expressed his satisfaction with the number of private companies and government entities participating in the exhibition and wished Kuwaiti young men and women success in finding suitable jobs to build their futures optimally.

For her part, Engineer Rabab Al-Asimi, Director General of the Public Authority for Manpower, began her speech on the sidelines of the exhibition’s launch by extending her gratitude and appreciation to the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, for his continuous support of the Authority’s work and his close follow-up of the file concerning the empowerment of national labor in the private sector. She also thanked Minister Al-Jalahma and the companies and institutions contributing to the success of the exhibition, which represents the largest youth employment gathering and transforms the aspirations of the youth sector from a dream into a tangible reality.

Al-Asimi stated that “our concern for our youth stems from the directives of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Meshal Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and His Highness the Crown Prince, who have placed Kuwaiti youth at the forefront of development priorities, believing that the nation’s youth are the cornerstone of its progress and the pillar of its future, and that nations are built by the efforts of their children and flourish through their contributions.”

She added, “We believe that the exhibition is not merely a gathering for jobs and opportunities, but a space where aspirations meet the future. Every job seeker carries the ambition for a genuine beginning where they can prove their capabilities and launch from there into a successful career.” She hoped the exhibition would serve as a gateway opening promising job opportunities for youth, marking the start of a professional journey undertaken with confidence, a deeper understanding of labor market challenges, and a clearer vision toward a distinguished future.

Al-Asimi pointed out that today’s labor market is undergoing rapid transformations, and the nature of jobs we know today may change tomorrow. She emphasized that what we need is not just to search for a job, but to build individuals capable of learning, adapting, and evolving—a real challenge for all of us to help our sons and daughters discover their capabilities.

She noted that the exhibition provides an important space for direct communication between job seekers and employers, offering an opportunity to learn about labor market needs, listen to youth aspirations, and enhance communication and closeness among the three production parties. She affirmed that youth need not just a job opportunity, but a chance to prove their ability, learn, evolve, and advance.

She concluded, “From this perspective, we see the Authority as a partner, not merely an observer. We provide support to national labor so that young men and women can begin their careers with confidence. We work on Kuwaitization policies that open opportunities and preserve market balance, and we develop our electronic services to facilitate matters for both youth and employers.”

Mohammed Al-Muzaini, Director of the Public Relations and Media Department at the Public Authority for Manpower, stated that the Authority’s participation in the exhibition aims to showcase available job opportunities for Kuwaiti citizens and highlight the state’s support for Kuwaitis employed in the private sector, with the participation of a number of companies contributing to boosting the local economy.

Al-Muzaini urged citizens to visit the exhibition from the 15th to the 17th of this month, and to take advantage of free training workshops covering how to pass job interviews and prepare resumes, as well as to learn about experiences and opportunities available for working in the private sector.

He noted that encouraging Kuwaitis to join the private sector is part of a package of decisions adopted by the state, in line with directives from the Council of Ministers and the support of the First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, emphasizing the Authority’s commitment to explaining the various forms of support provided to citizens working in this sector.
