The Security and Safety Administration at Kuwait University, in collaboration with the Traffic Awareness Department of the Ministry of Interior, recently launched a comprehensive traffic safety awareness campaign across college buildings in the Sabah Al-Salem University City (Science, Arts, Sharia and Islamic Studies, Law, and the Jaberiyah site), as part of efforts to strengthen community partnerships.
In a press statement, the university said that such campaigns aim to promote health awareness and traffic culture, highlight preventive measures, and help avoid violations and accidents on campus, thereby safeguarding the public safety of students and all members and visitors of the university community. The campaigns also seek to directly inform students about traffic safety rules and the procedures that must be followed to ensure public safety while driving vehicles on campus.
The university noted that the campaign was implemented through field visits and tours conducted by representatives of the Security and Safety Administration and the Ministry of Interior to college buildings, featuring direct interaction with students and educating them on traffic safety regulations. Awareness flash videos were also shown in classrooms to address this issue, underscoring the commitment to ensuring the safety of students.
