The Ibrahim Al-Baghl Foundation for the Filial Son honored the winners of the foundation’s awards, drawn from students of the Ministry of Education for the 2025/2026 academic year, during a ceremony held yesterday at the Millennium Central Downtown Kuwait hotel, under the patronage of Minister of Education Eng. Sayed Jalal Al-Tabtabaee.

The foundation’s chairman, Ibrahim Al-Baghl, emphasized that the award, launched in 2007, represents a community and educational initiative aimed at instilling values of loyalty and generosity in students’ hearts, and preparing a generation aware of its responsibilities toward its family, community, and country. He noted the foundation’s continued support for social, humanitarian, and volunteer work in collaboration with the Ministry of Education.

He added that “the award contributes to supporting social, humanitarian, volunteer, and educational efforts in Kuwait by encouraging students to participate in meaningful activities, fostering their sense of responsibility, and reinforcing positive values in their behavior.”

He pointed out that organizing the competitions in collaboration with the Ministry of Education embodies the foundation’s commitment to supporting the ministry’s educational programs and orientations, and contributing to the balanced development of learners’ personalities through diversifying educational and extracurricular activities and providing an environment that stimulates learning and generosity. He expressed his gratitude to the Minister of Education for patronizing the award, and commended the efforts of ministry leaders, educational zone officials, and the presidents of the boards of directors of the Girl Guides and Scouts associations.

For her part, Mariam Al-Anzi, Director of the General Administration of Supporting Educational Services at the Ministry of Education, in a speech on behalf of Minister Tabtabaee, highlighted the importance of the Al-Baghl Filial Son Award in reinforcing the values of filial piety and kindness to the elderly, and enhancing students’ moral responsibility. She praised the foundation’s role in supporting educational and community initiatives, and instilling authentic human values in younger generations.

She affirmed that the integrity of society begins with the integrity of its individuals, and that nation-building does not rely solely on material achievements, but also on a system of values that preserve human dignity and maintain family cohesion and social stability.

Al-Anzi stated that “true education is not limited to acquiring knowledge and skills, but also includes reinforcing ethics, compassion, and loyalty.”
