Dr. Sulaiman Al-Rabieh, Director of the Language Center Administration at the Public Authority for Applied Education and Training (PAAET), revealed the key projects the Center is undertaking to develop the educational system, including the creation of language laboratories that have been approved and are currently being implemented. He noted that these laboratories aim to enhance students’ listening and speaking skills in the English language courses approved by the Center, thereby strengthening their linguistic abilities and improving their readiness for future labor market demands.

Al-Rabieh stated that the Center operates in line with a comprehensive vision aligned with PAAET’s strategy, focusing on developing the English language teaching system and students’ skills, supporting faculty and trainers, and providing training that meets labor market requirements and modern educational developments.

In a media statement, Al-Rabieh clarified that the Center features a website containing profiles of its faculty and trainers, aiming to implement digital transformation across the Center’s operations. This includes storing regulations, correspondence, and administrative files through an integrated digital archive alongside the paper archive, facilitating information organization and easy access.

He emphasized that the Center is committed to ensuring that curricula and courses align with the actual needs of the labor market. This is achieved through continuous communication between the technical unit of the Language Center and PAAET’s Graduate Follow-up and Labor Market Department, to identify the linguistic skill requirements for PAAET graduates. Consequently, curricula, textbooks, and educational content are reviewed and developed, and new courses are introduced to serve the labor market.

Al-Rabieh also noted that the Language Center boasts an active research environment, with faculty and trainers publishing more than 40 research papers annually, reflecting the Center’s commitment to scientific research and leveraging its outcomes to enhance the educational process.

He added that the Center includes academic specialists in various fields, including test preparation and development, creation of educational materials, and curriculum selection, as well as specialized disciplines such as English for Specific Purposes (ESP), which holds significant importance for the nature of the Language Center’s work and its need for such courses.

Al-Rabieh further stated that the Center plans to offer specialized training workshops in the coming period in various areas that enhance the capabilities of academic and training staff and support the educational system.
