Saudi Civil Defense announced that the threat faced by the capital, Riyadh, this Tuesday evening has been lifted.
Earlier on Tuesday evening, Saudi Civil Defense had declared that Riyadh was under an “enemy aerial threat.”
In an emergency SMS sent to mobile phones on Tuesday evening, Saudi Civil Defense stated, “The threat has been lifted,” urging everyone to avoid areas where projectiles landed and to refrain from picking up any objects from the site.
In a mobile alert issued in Riyadh, Saudi Civil Defense advised everyone to remain calm, stay at home or in a safe location away from windows and doors, and continue following Civil Defense instructions.
On Tuesday evening, the coalition supporting legitimacy in Yemen announced the execution of a distinctive military operation to drain the vital resources used by the terrorist Houthi militia to sustain its war effort, including fuel storage, transport, and unloading sites in Sana’a, Hodeidah, and Dhamar.
The coalition added that the operation targeted neutralizing the capabilities used by the terrorist Houthi militia to threaten Saudi Arabia, Yemen, the southern Red Sea, and international waterways, amid what it described as attacks against civilians and civilian objects, as well as planning for imminent attacks against civilian targets in the Kingdom and commercial vessels.
