Al-Yousef: T1 Airport to resume operations next November

The First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahad Al-Yousef, confirmed that Terminal 1 will resume operations in November next year, ahead of hosting the Saudi Super Cup on Kuwaiti soil.
Al-Yousef added in a press statement after attending the signing ceremony of the government partner sponsorship agreement for the Saudi Super Cup football tournament at Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium that the Ministry of Interior has taken several measures to ensure the arrival of Saudi fans, including raising the capacity of the Nuwaisib border crossing to accommodate 20 dedicated lanes for processing travelers.
He stated that among the measures taken by the Ministry of Interior is exempting players and officials participating in the matches from biometric scanning at the airport, and issuing them special identification cards for entry and exit from the country.
