Netanyahu Demands Investigation into Participants in 'Naza' Film

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has called for the identities of the Israeli military and intelligence personnel who gave anonymous testimonies in the documentary “Naza” to be revealed and for them to be investigated, after they disclosed details concerning Israeli military operations in the Gaza Strip. The film, directed by Yuval Abraham and Rachel Tzur, won the Special Jury Prize at the Venice Film Festival and sparked controversy in Israel. On September 15, drawings appeared on a wall in the southern Israeli city of Ashdod depicting the film’s directors alongside the Hebrew word “traitors,” indicating the intensity of the debate the work has ignited.
