Amazon Close to Acquiring 'DeepCart' for $7 Billion

Amazon is in talks to acquire AI startup Cartesia, based in San Francisco, in a deal that could be worth around $7 billion, according to the Wall Street Journal, citing sources familiar with the matter.

Cartesia’s software makes it easier for developers to move between different types of AI chips, a capability that is growing in importance as companies race to secure more computing power. The deal could be finalized soon if negotiations continue without hitches and no competing buyer emerges.

The company has raised over $400 million in venture capital funding from investors including Sequoia Capital, Benchmark, and Radical Ventures, and was valued at around $4 billion in May.
