The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the State of Kuwait’s strong condemnation and denunciation of the continued terrorist and criminal attacks carried out by the Houthi militia against the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the latest of which targeted King Khalid International Airport in the capital, Riyadh, and King Fahd International Airport in Dammam on October 11, 2026. The attack on King Khalid International Airport resulted in the death of one resident and injuries to others, as well as material damage, in a blatant violation of the Kingdom’s sovereignty and a flagrant breach of international law and international humanitarian law.

The Ministry stressed that persisting in targeting civilian airports and vital infrastructure constitutes a serious escalation and a direct threat to civilian lives and the safety of air navigation, necessitating a firm international stance to halt these heinous attacks and hold those responsible accountable.

The Ministry reaffirmed Kuwait’s absolute solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its full support for all measures the Kingdom takes to protect its security and stability and safeguard its sovereignty, emphasizing that the security of the Kingdom is an integral part of the security of the State of Kuwait and the security of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
