This initiative brings together 12 Kuwaiti employees for a comprehensive one-year development journey, reflecting the bank’s focus on talent development and equipping participants with the technical knowledge, practical experience, and professional confidence necessary to contribute effectively to its credit operations.
The program offers participants a learning experience that combines technical development with practical application, covering key areas in banking and credit, including financial and business analysis, lending, deal structuring and risk assessment, credit monitoring, and credit reporting. These modules are supported by practical case studies and on-the-job applications within the bank’s departments.
The event was attended by Gilles Jan van der Toel, CEO of the National Bank of Kuwait Group, along with a group of senior bank executives and Euromoney officials.
Commenting on the occasion, Afrah Al-Arbash, General Manager of Human Resources Management at the National Bank of Kuwait, stated: “The significance of this specialized program lies in its focus on honing credit and financial analysis skills, and equipping trainees with the expertise needed to keep pace with the rapid developments in corporate banking.”
She noted that building a new generation of financial and credit analysts not only strengthens the bank’s internal work environment and enhances its risk management efficiency, but also directly contributes to supporting the national economy and boosting competitiveness in Kuwait’s banking sector as a whole.
