Kuwait University Organizes 'Cancer Prevention' Event

Kuwait University announced it will host the “Public Health and Cancer Prevention” event the day after tomorrow, in collaboration with the National Campaign for Cancer Awareness (KANC), under the patronage of University President Dr. Dina Al-Milhim, with the aim of enhancing health awareness and consolidating a culture of prevention and early detection.

In a press statement, the university said the event will include an awareness exhibition and a seminar titled “Early Awareness Makes a Difference,” featuring participation from various specialists and relevant entities, to highlight the importance of prevention and early detection of breast cancer and to encourage healthy practices.

It noted that the exhibition will open at 9:00 a.m. in the lobby of the University Administration Building, while the seminar will be held at 10:30 a.m. in the Administrative Auditorium (G20).

The university added that organizing the event aligns with its commitment to supporting health and awareness initiatives and strengthening partnerships with relevant entities, thereby contributing to raising health awareness among university members and the broader community, and encouraging the adoption of healthy and preventive behaviors.
