Gulf States Call for Decisive International Action Against Houthi Targeting of Saudi Airports

In a statement on Saturday evening, Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jassem al-Budaiwi expressed his profound condemnation and unequivocal denunciation of the terrorist attack carried out by Houthi militias, which targeted King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, resulting in several fatalities.
Al-Budaiwi emphasized that the deliberate targeting of civilian airports and civilians by the Houthi militia necessitates serious international action and decisive measures to ensure deterrence and prevent the recurrence of such attacks, which violate the most basic humanitarian principles and international conventions.
He reiterated his affirmation that the security of Saudi Arabia is an integral part of the security of the GCC member states, reaffirming the Council’s full support for Saudi Arabia in all steps it takes to safeguard its security, protect its assets, and preserve the integrity of its territory.
