Injured Marseille Seeks to Correct Course

Olympique de Marseille are striving to correct their course to avoid any surprises when they face Troyes today in the final matchday of the sixth round of Ligue 1.
The southern club sits in second-to-last place in the standings with three points, having suffered four consecutive defeats, the most recent being a 1-2 home loss to Paris Saint-Germain.
Despite the limitations on Marseille’s squad due to its financial situation, manager Bruno Génésio will need to find quick solutions, though he hopes to bounce back with a relatively easier fixture schedule.
Their comeback campaign begins this week with a clash against newly promoted Troyes, who occupy 16th place with four points, one point ahead of Marseille.
A victory would lift Marseille out of the relegation zone, while a defeat would place them under intense pressure ahead of another away match against seventh-placed Angers, who host Brest.
Eighth-placed Strasbourg visit fourteenth-placed Nice, who are aiming to continue their recent improvement following their first home win in nearly a year, a 2-1 victory over Lille.
