Al-Qadsiya’s first team defeated host Al-Tadamun 2-0 in yesterday’s match, part of the fourth round of the Zain Premier League.
Al-Qadsiya dominated the first half, completely controlling the flow of the game, while Al-Tadamun failed to deliver the expected performance, especially considering they were playing at home in front of their own fans. Their foreign players, particularly in midfield and attack, appeared physically and technically inadequate.
Al-Qadsiya’s Moroccan foreign player Ayoub El-Khaoui converted his team’s superiority into a goal with a shot from inside the penalty area in the 19th minute, while his teammates missed several other chances, complementing the outstanding performance of goalkeeper Dawood Al-Khalidi.
On the other hand, Al-Qadsiya’s goalkeeper saved his goal from a certain equalizer, brilliantly stopping a shot from an Al-Tadamun player, which was the only clear opportunity for the Farwaniya-based side.
The level of play declined in the second half, and Al-Tadamun finished the match from the 67th minute with only ten players after referee Hussein Jamal issued a second yellow card, followed by a red card, to Syrian player Ahmed Al-Daly for rough play against Jassem Al-Mutairi.
Returnee Abdullah Mutawa scored Al-Qadsiya’s second goal in the 82nd minute.
