As part of its ongoing efforts to preserve Kuwaiti heritage and strengthen the connection of new generations to it, the Kuwait Finance House organized a field trip for students from Sumaya Primary School, as part of the “Ya Zeen Tarathna” (Our Heritage is Beautiful) campaign for 2026. The campaign aims to introduce children to aspects of authentic Kuwaiti heritage through an interactive approach that combines knowledge and enjoyment.
The visit included a series of interactive activities that allowed the students to learn up close about various traditional Kuwaiti customs, folk traditions, and old children’s games, alongside an interactive workshop covering key milestones that were part of children’s lives in the past, with simplified explanations of their significance in Kuwaiti popular memory.
On this occasion, Amal Al-Warrah, Deputy General Manager of Corporate Communications at the bank, said: “We are delighted to organize such visits, which provide us with the opportunity to introduce new generations to aspects of our authentic Kuwaiti heritage and strengthen their connection to their country’s history and identity. We believe that preserving heritage is not limited to documenting it, but extends to presenting it to future generations through innovative and interactive methods that bring them closer to it and foster pride in it. The ‘Ya Zeen Tarathna’ campaign embodies this approach, through diverse activities that combine learning, experience, and entertainment, thereby embedding the values of Kuwaiti heritage in the hearts of our children.”
The event witnessed notable engagement from the students, who actively participated in the activities and workshop, amidst an atmosphere of enthusiasm and fun. This helped present folk heritage in a simplified and appealing manner, linking heritage elements to practical experiences close to their interests.
At the end of the visit, the bank’s Corporate Communications team distributed commemorative gifts to the students, including “Al-Hamma,” inspired by Kuwaiti heritage, in a move aimed at keeping heritage elements present in the details of their daily lives.
On her part, the administration of Sumaya Primary School for Girls expressed its gratitude and appreciation to the bank for the visit, praising its role in preserving Kuwaiti heritage and introducing the new generation to the history of their fathers and ancestors, highlighting its importance in strengthening national identity and instilling values of belonging among students.
