Cole Palmer has extended his contract with Chelsea until 2034, after the English striker was originally linked with the west London club until 2033, with the new improved deal securing his stay at Stamford Bridge for an additional year.
He added, “The conversations with the owners, sporting directors, and the manager naturally filled me with great confidence, so signing was the right decision.”
He continued, “And speaking with the players as well, everyone shares the same ambitions. I feel that we are consistently winning major titles here, and I want to be part of that and play a significant role in it as well.”
Palmer joined Chelsea from Manchester City in 2023, contributing 91 goal involvements (goals and assists) in 138 matches during his time in west London.
Last season, he struggled with a persistent upper thigh injury, which led England manager Thomas Tuchel to exclude him from the Three Lions’ squad for the 2026 World Cup, a decision that sparked controversy.
Tuchel also stated that Palmer “missed too many opportunities” to play for the national team after withdrawing from the squad for the final Nations League matches.
Nevertheless, Palmer started the season strongly, scoring four goals in seven matches across all competitions.
Palmer’s contract is the latest to be granted to a Chelsea star, keeping the London club’s player until the fourth decade of this century, following the recent deals signed by Brazilian Joao Pedro and Portuguese Pedro Neto.
