Driver of transport vehicle apprehended for littering on the road

The General Directorate of Traffic, represented by the Traffic Regulation Department – Security Control Division, apprehended the driver of a transport vehicle (semi-trailer) following a complaint alleging that he had dumped debris causing road pollution in the Jabriya area. This action is part of the Directorate’s ongoing efforts to enforce traffic regulations and curb behaviors that compromise road safety and cleanliness.

Following investigative work, the driver, a Bangladeshi national, was apprehended. It was also determined that he was operating a motorized transport vehicle with a driver’s license that did not authorize him to do so.

Traffic violations were issued against him, including littering and driving a motor vehicle with an invalid license. He was transferred to the Traffic Police Station under preventive detention pending deportation proceedings, and the vehicle was impounded in accordance with standard procedures.

The General Directorate of Traffic reaffirmed its zero-tolerance stance toward such behaviors and violations, and pledged to continue taking necessary legal action against offenders to help preserve road safety and the public image.
