Houthis escalate attacks after receiving strikes in 9 provinces

The Iran-aligned Houthi militia in Yemen escalated its attacks on Saudi civilian facilities following a series of severe strikes that targeted its strongholds in the capital, Sana’a, and the provinces of Saada, Hodeidah, Ibb, Raymah, Ta’izz, Al Jawf, Marib, and Amran.

The day after the Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation announced that two Moroccan and Algerian residents were killed and 28 others injured in the cowardly Houthi attack on Abha Airport, and that a Sudanese national was killed and eight others injured in another attack on King Khalid International Airport, the Saudi Civil Defense confirmed material damage to a kindergarten and a medical clinic complex in Riyadh resulting from fragments of a ballistic missile launched by the terrorist Houthi militia, which was intercepted and destroyed.

In an additional provocation, Houthi spokesperson Yahya Sarieh called for the evacuation of all Saudi oil facilities, declaring them “targets.”

Fidan noted that the steps to be taken under the “Mecca Alliance” had been presented to President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, affirming that the necessary work to refer the Mecca Agreement to parliament had been completed for the earliest possible consideration.

Meanwhile, the New York Times quoted a senior Pakistani military official as saying that Pakistani Air Force fighter jets were participating in operations against the Houthis.

Another Pakistani official stated that the role focused on mitigating threats from Houthi drones and missiles through air support, without any ground involvement inside Yemen.

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its strong condemnation and denunciation yesterday of the brazen Houthi militia attacks on Abha and King Khalid International Airports, which constitute a blatant violation of the Kingdom’s sovereignty and a flagrant breach of international law and international humanitarian law.

In a statement, the Ministry emphasized Kuwait’s firm rejection of the recurrence of these cowardly attacks targeting innocent civilians and civilian and economic infrastructure, stressing the urgent need to halt them immediately.

It reiterated Kuwait’s absolute solidarity with Saudi Arabia and its support for all measures taken to safeguard the Kingdom’s sovereignty, security, and the protection of its citizens and residents on its territory, while underscoring that the security of the Kingdom is an integral part of Kuwait’s security and the security of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states.

Qatar, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates, Jordan, Egypt, Syria, and other Arab and Islamic countries, along with France, also condemned the Houthi attacks, expressing their full solidarity with Saudi Arabia.
