Al Hamra Real Estate Company continued its strategic partnership with the PEAK Race Al Hamra, hosting its ninth edition on September 26 at the Al Hamra Business Tower. The event drew hundreds of athletes and fitness enthusiasts, establishing itself as one of the premier vertical racing experiences and, over the past nine years, a recurring occasion for challenge, determination, and achievement in the heart of Kuwait City.

This year’s ninth edition carries a significance that transcends sports competition. Amidst the changing conditions and challenges facing the region, Al Hamra believes in the importance of preserving community health, safety, and quality of life, by providing safe and positive spaces and experiences that promote physical activity and human interaction, and support a return to daily life with a renewed spirit characterized by awareness and responsibility.

Hosting the race aligns with Al Hamra’s vision, which views its buildings and spaces as an active part of the community, rather than merely destinations for business and shopping. Through this vision, the company seeks to transform one of Kuwait’s most prominent landmarks into a platform that brings people together around experiences that enhance health, movement, and community engagement, celebrating the Kuwaiti community’s renowned determination, patience, solidarity, and ability to adapt and move forward in the face of various challenges.

As the strategic partner and official host of the race, Al Hamra awarded cash prizes totaling 4,000 Kuwaiti dinars to the winners. The competitions included a stair-climbing challenge covering 60 floors, relay races for two-person teams in men’s and women’s categories, and a separate 5-floor course for children and juniors. This structure allowed different generations to participate in an experience that combined fitness, challenge, teamwork, and a spirit of encouragement.

The arrival of PEAK Race Al Hamra at its ninth edition holds special significance for the sustainability of this partnership. The continuity over nine years reflects the evolution of the race from a sporting event into an annual community experience associated with the name of Al Hamra Tower, where participants challenge their physical and mental capabilities to reach the summit.

At the same time, Al Hamra places health and safety at the core of its community experience, driven by the conviction that encouraging sports cannot be separated from providing an organized and responsible environment that motivates participants to adopt a more active lifestyle, and enhances awareness of the importance of physical fitness, preventive health, and lifestyle balance.

On this occasion, Hamad Al-Saqqabi, Executive in Marketing and Public Relations at Al Hamra Real Estate, stated: “After nine editions of PEAK, this race is no longer just a challenge to reach the 60th floor for us; it has become an expression of a value we believe in at Al Hamra: that reaching the top begins with willpower and perseverance. In light of the circumstances our region is going through, maintaining health, continuing life with positivity and responsibility, and strengthening community bonds have become more important than ever.”

He added: “The determination, spirit of cooperation, and encouragement shown by participants this year reflect many of the values we cherish in Kuwait: patience, endurance, solidarity, and the ability to continue the journey regardless of changing circumstances. Through our ongoing partnership with PEAK, we aim to provide the community with safe and meaningful experiences that offer space for movement, challenge, and achievement, contributing to enhancing health and quality of life.”

The hosting of PEAK complements a broader suite of Al Hamra initiatives aimed at promoting physical activity and community health, including Al Hamra In Motion, which offered fitness sessions in collaboration with the Burn app, and the Community Walkathon group-walking event. In 2025, Al Hamra Mall received the Diamond rating under the Ministry of Health’s “Health-Enhancing Mall” initiative, reflecting the company’s ongoing institutional commitment to providing an environment that supports health and quality of life.

Al Hamra continues to reinforce its community role as a core pillar of its strategy, through initiatives spanning sports and health, humanitarian care, culture, and support for local talent and creativity. This reflects its vision that its role extends beyond developing and managing destinations to contributing to the building of a healthier, more vibrant, and cohesive community, capable of facing changes with confidence and determination.
