The deadline set by the Public Authority for Industry for factories seeking to enhance their competitiveness in export markets by participating in the Global Certification Program for Industrial Facilities project expires today.
The Authority had announced that it is preparing to implement the project and opened participation to factories from September 27 until today, the 8th.
It stated that the project’s objective is to strengthen competitiveness in export markets, conditional upon meeting five requirements: holding a valid industrial license and registering in the electronic export development system.
The Authority specified that among the five conditions, the factory must be an exporter or capable of exporting, with priority given to existing exporters and to factories that have not previously participated in the same program.
Meanwhile, the Authority will meet next Sunday with the consulting offices it has qualified to prepare economic feasibility studies for projects submitted to the Authority.
There are two categories of offices for preparing feasibility studies: one for projects with an investment value of 5 million Kuwaiti dinars or more, and the other for projects valued below 5 million dinars.
