Kuwaiti Inventions Win Gulf Honors in Bahrain

State Minister for Economic Affairs and Investment and Acting Minister of Commerce and Industry, Abdulaziz Al-Marzouq, today on Tuesday, praised the Kuwaiti inventors honored at the ceremony for Gulf inventors held on the sidelines of the ministerial meetings of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries and the “Made in the Gulf” exhibition and forum in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Speaking to the Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) on the sidelines of his participation in the ministerial meetings, Minister Al-Marzouq expressed his pride in the distinguished level demonstrated by Kuwaiti inventors and the innovations they presented, which reflect the capabilities and potential of Kuwaiti youth in the fields of innovation and invention.

He congratulated the honored Kuwaiti inventors on this achievement, emphasizing the importance of supporting and encouraging innovators and urging them to continue their efforts and develop their innovations to contribute to serving society and enhancing the trajectory of development and the knowledge-based economy.

The list of honorees included Kuwaiti inventor Fatima Saadoun for her invention, “A-Shield” (Protection Shield), aimed at reducing exposure to electromagnetic waves emitted by communication and transmission devices while maintaining connection quality and device performance.

The list also featured Kuwaiti inventor Ali Al-Sarraf for his invention related to a training simulation device and his innovation, “Training Ammunition,” which enables mechanical movement of weapons in a realistic manner within a safe training environment. It serves as a physical interface to connect real weapons with simulation systems, extended reality applications, and laser tactical shooting exercises.

Minister Al-Marzouq stressed that these innovations reflect the importance of investing in young national talents and encouraging them to transform creative ideas into innovations with economic and social value.

He expressed his gratitude and appreciation to the Kingdom of Bahrain for its excellent hosting and outstanding organization of the ministerial meetings, the “Made in the Gulf” exhibition and forum, and the Gulf inventors’ ceremony, wishing Kuwaiti and Gulf inventors continued success and achievement in their scientific and innovative journeys.
