Ministry of Social Affairs: Developing the Gulf social care system

The ministry said in a statement that the meeting discussed a number of common Gulf social files, most notably the quality of life for the elderly, issues concerning persons with disabilities, children’s rights, women’s empowerment, and social protection, alongside follow-up on the Gulf Action Plan for 2026–2030.

It added that the meeting examined proposals aimed at developing the social care system and supporting beneficiary groups, in preparation for their approval by the ministers of social affairs and development at the meeting scheduled for Thursday (the day after tomorrow) in Manama.
