The Yemeni Armed Forces announced that they continued their ground advances for a second consecutive day on the southern front of Marib Governorate as part of the “Fajr al-Yemen” (Yemen Dawn) operation, amid continuous retreats and severe human and material losses inflicted on the Iran-backed Houthi militia.

A military source told the Armed Forces Media Center that the army’s heroes succeeded today in repelling the Houthi militia from wide areas and strategic commanding positions, most notably the Thamd, Al-Qa’ima, and Al-Maqilat mountain ranges, as well as the Al-Qa’ima ridge, Al-Rasid, and the surrounding desert areas.

He added that the battles resulted in dozens of militia members killed, wounded, or captured, alongside the destruction of three artillery pieces and the disabling of combat crews, with casualties among those on board.

Air defenses on the same front also shot down an enemy drone. The source noted that the Armed Forces had thwarted desperate Houthi attempts yesterday evening to regain positions lost since the launch of the “Fajr al-Yemen” operation, forcing the militia to retreat and flee after suffering heavy losses in personnel and equipment.

It further stated that its forces established control over the strategic Tatab area overlooking Al-Mansoura, southeast of Taiz, pointing to a mass exodus of Houthi fighters during the military operation.

Fighting continues between the two sides on several fronts in Taiz Governorate, coinciding with military operations launched by government forces yesterday, Monday, as part of the “Fajr al-Yemen” campaign.
