Pezeshkian: Washington Seeks No Dialogue, Aims to Overthrow Iran

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian on Monday dismissed negotiations with the United States as “futile,” as the war in the Middle East entered its eighth month without any prospect of a settlement, despite diplomatic efforts by several parties.
Pezeshkian, speaking during a meeting with Armenia’s foreign minister, said, “Our problem with the United States is that every time we come to the negotiating table, war is immediately imposed on us. So far, they have attacked us three times after talks, which shows they are not seeking dialogue. On the contrary, their goal is to overthrow the Islamic Republic of Iran.”
He added, according to reports by the official IRNA news agency, “With an enemy that resorts daily to assassinations, sanctions, pressure, and threats, and that breaks its promises, negotiations become futile, and our nation will not accept such an approach.”
