Dubai Grants Golden Residency to Distinguished Teachers and Educators

Under the directives of Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, and Chairman of the Executive Council of the Emirate of Dubai, outstanding teachers and educators in private educational institutions in Dubai have benefited from the Golden Residence initiative, coinciding with the celebration of World Teachers’ Day, observed annually on October 5.
The initiative recognizes outstanding educational competencies and supports individuals with exceptional performance and notable achievements, reflecting the wise leadership’s approach to valuing the role of teachers and educators and their contributions to developing the educational system and enhancing the quality of education in the emirate.
The initiative includes a select group of teachers and educators who have achieved remarkable accomplishments and made significant contributions in early childhood centers, schools, and higher education institutions, in recognition of their dedication and role in enhancing educational quality and consolidating Dubai’s position as a global destination for attracting outstanding educational talent.
The initiative supports the objectives of Dubai’s Education Strategy 2033, which focuses on engaging inspiring teachers who enjoy the highest levels of respect and appreciation, and who contribute their expertise to supporting students’ educational journeys and enhancing their competitiveness regionally and internationally.
Since its launch on October 5, 2024, approximately 835 educators have registered to benefit from the initiative. Candidates are selected based on a comprehensive professional evaluation that relies on criteria ensuring fairness and transparency, including academic qualifications, notable achievements, contributions to the educational and community fields, and positive feedback from parents and students.
The initiative targets educators who have demonstrated excellence in their performance, provided innovative contributions, and shown clear commitment to developing education and helping shape the future of Dubai. It also embodies the emirate’s commitment to nurturing talent, investing in human capital, and honoring educators who contribute to preparing future generations.
The initiative has established a number of eligibility criteria for educators in early childhood centers, schools, and higher education institutions, including excellence in academic achievements and creative contributions to education, tangible success in enhancing educational quality, clear positive impact, widespread recognition within educational circles, and significant contributions to improving student outcomes, including academic progress and obtaining accredited qualifications.
Educators interested in benefiting from the initiative can review the eligibility conditions and application procedures on the official website of the Knowledge and Human Development Authority (KHDA) in Dubai.
