The duo contributed to England’s emphatic 7-0 victory over Croatia in the UEFA Nations League on Saturday, with Kane scoring two goals and providing one assist, while Bellingham scored one goal and created three, including the decisive pass that led to Kane’s opening goal.
The pair also shone as England secured their place in the 2026 World Cup quarter-finals, with their on- and off-pitch chemistry improving since that tournament, further bolstered by wingers Anthony Gordon and Bukayo Saka.
Tuchel said of England’s stars, “They delivered good performances at the World Cup, are constantly improving, enjoy playing together, and are growing more in sync.” He added, “We have adjusted the duo’s positions on the pitch, but it’s also about a distinctive attacking quartet that performs exceptionally well in their movements and reverse runs.”
He emphasized that “teamwork is the most important factor, and the team delivered a brilliant performance against Croatia. Bellingham takes on greater attacking roles for England compared to his responsibilities at Real Madrid.”
