Washington withdraws all bombers stationed at RAF Fairford

The U.S. Air Force has withdrawn all of its bombers stationed at a U.S.-run military airbase in England, which was used for strikes against Iran, following an investigation into a terrorist attack targeting RAF Fairford.
The bombers have been redeployed to their usual bases in the United States, according to a Pentagon official who spoke on condition of anonymity on Sunday, as he was not authorized to discuss sensitive military movements.
Flight trackers such as the Military Air Traffic Alliance have monitored dozens of B-52 and B-1 bombers operating from RAF Fairford since the early days of the Iran war. Observers noted a group of B-1 bombers flying out of the base on Sunday.
