Health Ministry Reiterates Importance of Early Breast Cancer Detection

The Ministry of Health has reiterated the importance of early detection of breast cancer, noting that mammography helps identify changes in the breast at early stages, even before symptoms appear.

In a statement marking the observance of Pink October, the breast cancer awareness month, the Ministry confirmed that appointments for screening can be booked through the “Sahl” and “Salim” applications. It highlighted the availability of screening centers in several governorates, including the Sheikh Ahmad Al-Farisi and his wife Sharifa Al-Awadi Health Center in the Sura area of the Capital Governorate, the Al-Zahraa Health Center in Hawalli Governorate, the South Kuwait Health Center in Farwaniya Governorate, the Al-Nuaim Health Center in Al-Jahra Governorate, and the Uqayla Health Center in Ahmadi Governorate.
