Official Gazette publishes Media Regulation Law

The competent minister shall issue the executive regulations for the accompanying law within six months from the date of publication of this decree-law in the Official Gazette, and shall also issue the necessary decisions to implement its provisions.

Owners of the media activities mentioned in the accompanying law and existing at the time of its implementation must regularize their status in accordance with its provisions within six months from the date of issuance of the executive regulations.

Failure to regularize their status within this period shall result in the cancellation of the license.

Law No. (3) of 2006 concerning Publications and Publishing, Law No. (61) of 2007 concerning Audiovisual and Radio Media, and Law No. (8) of 2016 concerning the Regulation of Electronic Media are hereby repealed, as is any other provision that conflicts with the provisions of the accompanying law.
