Pentagon sends third aircraft carrier and 10,000 troops to the region in late November

The newspaper added that the carrier was accompanied by the Makin Island Amphibious Ready Group, which includes approximately 2,200 Marines and sailors.

These movements aim to bolster US deterrence and provide greater flexibility for military command amid ongoing tensions and heightened security readiness related to the Iranian file, as well as to ensure navigation security in the Strait of Hormuz.

Around 9,000 to 10,000 soldiers, Marines, and sailors are expected to reach their positions by the end of next November.

US President Donald Trump hinted in an interview with Time magazine about the possibility of intensifying strikes and resuming operations against Iran following the midterm elections in November, amid stalled talks.
