This statement was made by Yunusov during a speech at a celebration hosted by his embassy to mark the 35th anniversary of Uzbekistan’s independence, attended by State Minister for Economic Affairs and Chairman of the Public Authority for Investment, Abdulaziz Al-Marzouq; Deputy Minister of Defense Sheikh Dr. Abdullah Al-Mashal; and a number of officials, ambassadors, diplomatic corps members, and public figures.

On the tourism and humanitarian fronts, he noted that the visa exemption for Kuwaiti citizens entering Uzbekistan for 30 days has contributed to opening wider horizons for interaction between the two peoples and enhancing tourism and cultural exchange.
He expressed Uzbekistan’s pride in its relations with Kuwait, commending the approach pursued by the Kuwaiti leadership, which is based on peace, stability, and dialogue. He also extended his gratitude to the Kuwaiti government for its patronage and care for the Uzbek community residing and working in Kuwait.
